Some of you may have short memory like me
… often forgot your windows login password. So… how? Don’t worry~ Here is a simple guide to teach you how to create a Windows XP Password Reset Disk. Before that, you need to prepare either a blank floppy disk or CD. I have not tried out USB thumb drive before, you may try it out yourself. I don’t recommend of using USB even it works as you should use it for other purposes.
1. Click Start menu or My computer, and then -> Control Panel.
2. Go to User Accounts.
3. Click the account that you want to create a reset disk.
4. See left hand side, under Related Tasks, click Prevent a forgotten password and then click Next.
5. Now, insert a blank floppy disk or CD, and then click Next.
6. In the Current user account password box, type the password for the user account that you chose in step 3, and then click Next.
7. Lastly, you have to take note If the user account does not have a password, do not type a password in the Current user account password box.
Done!
